Independent plans race for governor

Call him Governor Gregg.
That’s what Barney farmer Gregg Boyer wants people to do in his quest to bypass the political parties and become an independent governor of North Dakota.
Boyer, who announced his plans to run in 2008 to the Tribune last
week, said he’ll bring a breath of fresh air to the race.
“People are looking for somebody who is real and understands their problems,” Boyer said. “My administration and my campaign will be more personal.”
